So, crayons (wax pastels) can create really lovely colors, as shown just below.
\nThen, how usable are they?
\nI experimented with “Crayola(R)”, probably the most famous brand among wax pastels, to see if I could make smooth color gradations with it.
\nAlas, as you see below, it is quite hard to create smooth color gradations.
\nSo, I gave up on using crayons in “gentle, smooth” paintings.
\nInstead, I’ll use them in “coarse, wild” works.<\/p>\n
