\nUsually, artists do not show study sketches like this to anyone —
\nYet here, I hope to discuss two different processes of painting landscapes.<\/p>\n

1) One is called “alla\u00a0prima,” a process known\u00a0well as “Van Gogh’s fav,” in which
\nthe painter finishes off the painting of the scene at the very site.
\n2) The other is to watch the scene for inspiration and make an only very quick,
\ncoarse sketch of it and\u00a0the accompanying inspiration received.<\/p>\n

Today, I cycled to a major park in western Tokyo and followed 2) above.
\nSo, in the enigmatic, quick sketch below, what really matters is how I’m
\ngoing to develop the inspiration I receive from the scene I was watching today.<\/p>\n

You notice some “writings” in it — they are notes to myself, as I develop
\nthe inspiration.<\/p>\n
