I showed the sketch for this new work below on Oct. 13, and the priming on Oct. 27.
\nNow, I’ve begun the painting, in color pencil and oil pastel.
\nHere is the beginning.<\/p>\n

As I said earlier, this protest painting depicts the Japanese society
\nafter the Fukushima Daiichi meltdown, which began on March 11, 2011.
\nI’ve been feeling like I’m struggling within a pandemonium society,
\nwhere people run around to escape it, but there seems to be
\nno way out. Meanwhile, some forces are struggling to restart
\nthe nation’s existing nuclear plants —-<\/p>\n

And that whole social system seems, at least to me, to be
\nextremely cranky and junkie<\/span>!
\nSo, this painting too must be cranky and junkie.<\/p>\n
