Just a tech experiment with solid black embossed paper \/ \u771f\u3063\u9ed2\u306a\u30a8\u30f3\u30dc\u30b9\u52a0\u5de5\u7d19\u3067\u306e\u3001\u5358\u306a\u308b\u6280\u6cd5\u7684\u5b9f\u9a13\u3067\u3059<\/p><\/div>\n

Nothing much. Just a 100-min technical experiment.
\nFrom a 100-min drawing session of March 22nd.<\/p>\n

I wanted to test the “attachment” of oil pastel to a certain
\ntype of paper surface.
\nThis solid black paper had tiny ups and downs (embossed),
\nand the pressing made the surface somehow repellent to oil pastel.
\nThe tiny embossments sort of “sucked” in some of the oil pastel applied,
\nand the colors applied faded away as I rubbed them with my fingertip —<\/p>\n

I had to apply and rub colors twice. I came up with this painting,
\nand I would have to use “a brush and baby oil” to smoothen out
\nthe colors, but I did not have them with me at the drawing session.<\/p>\n

Most artists do not show an experiment like this in public,
\nbut I do — so that those of you working with oil pastel
\ncan be careful with their choices of paper!
\nSome papers are not good with oil pastel.<\/p>\n
