“Contamination”, Stage 1 \/ \u30b9\u30c6\u30fc\u30b81<\/p><\/div>\n

I know well that many other artists over the world are
\ndepicting, one way or another, the current pandemic.<\/p>\n

With the oil pastel painting shown here, I am actually
\nnot following them. In fact, I created the scratch for this
\nalready back in February, when Japan’s government was
\nslow in counteracting the coming pandemic.
\nI predicted that it would invite a social panic.<\/p>\n

Now, as you all see, that prediction has become a reality,
\nI’m afraid.
\nSo, I’m developing that scratch into a painting — reluctantly.
\nI honestly wish the scratch had never been necessary.
\n(In other words, the government should have taken actions
\na lot sooner!)<\/p>\n
