I’m an amateur sopranist trained classically.
\nOnce I sang in a big church, to a pipe organ built
\nas an integral part of the architecture.<\/p>\n

The accompanist played it “mercilessly” aloud, and I was
\nworried whether my solo voice reached the entire audience
\nwell, over the loud pipe organ. Being classically trained, I
\ndo not use a microphone except for recording.
\nWith this worry, I began singing — then, I found that I had a
\ngood friend in the building — the concrete walls. They echoed back
\nmy singing voice, and the echoes that reached my earfs
\nassured that my voice was reaching the whole church building.<\/p>\n

This was pastel painting is a depiction of that experience —
\nit made me feel like my voice was even ascending beyond the ceiling!<\/p>\n
