The loops are to hold the cross to a chain. These are “broad” crosses, not ankhs.
\nI got two orders for the same cross pendant top shown below, and here they are!<\/p>\n

As you see, these are made only of seed beads, with no (semi-)precious stone in them.
\nSo, the price is easily affordable JPY1,000- plus shipping per piece*, for an order from inside Japan, in the case of this particular design. (More complicated designs can cost more.)
