Pastel does not work well on croquis paper —
\n\u30af\u30ed\u30c3\u30ad\u30fc\u7528\u7d19\u306b\u63cf\u304f\u3068\u3001\u30d1\u30b9\u30c6\u30eb\u306e\u52b9\u679c\u304c\u5145\u5206\u306b\u51fa\u306a\u3044<\/p>\n

I turned another 20-minute croquis from August 2 into a full pastel painting, because I did not like the effects the croquis paper created with pastel yesterday. So, I tried another work on the same croquis paper.<\/p>\n

8\u67082\u65e5\u306e20\u5206\u30af\u30ed\u30c3\u30ad\u30fc\u3092\u3082\u30461\u3064\u3001\u30d1\u30b9\u30c6\u30eb\u306e\u7d75\u753b\u306b\u3057\u3066\u307f\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u306a\u305c\u304b\uff1f\u6628\u65e5\u306e\u540c\u69d8\u306e\u30d1\u30b9\u30c6\u30eb\u753b\u3067\u3001\u4f7f\u3063\u305f\u30af\u30ed\u30c3\u30ad\u30fc\u7528\u7d19\u3067\u306e\u30d1\u30b9\u30c6\u30eb\u306e\u52b9\u679c\u304c\u6c17\u306b\u5165\u3089\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u306d\u3002
\n\u305d\u3053\u3067\u3001\u3082\u30461\u4f5c\u3001\u540c\u3058\u30af\u30ed\u30c3\u30ad\u30fc\u7528\u7d19\u306b\u30d1\u30b9\u30c6\u30eb\u3067\u63cf\u3044\u3066\u307f\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

As you see below, the result was a no-no. Pastel requires paper that is more solid, usually thicker. This holds true especially when you use a lot of color gradations with pastel, like I do.
\nThough this particular croquis paper I used this time was 90kg in weight and rather expensive, and though the manufacturer claims it works well with pastel as well, actually pastel requires more than that.<\/p>\n
