Reuse cotton to save water / コットンのリユース

As many people know, growing cotton consumes some incredible volume of water.
One way to help the world save water is to reuse cotton products.
Switching to synthetic fibers?? Well, that aggravates the “micro fiber” problem.

So, I dye and paint on “worn-out” cotton products, to reuse them.
Here is one example.

Random dyeing / ランダムに染めます

Just a plain white, worn-out T-shirt / ただの着古した白いTシャツ

“But doesn’t dyeing consume a lot of water??” A good question!
In my case, I have no big “tank” or machine for dyeing.
I do “dripping” with my own hands, which consumes very little water.
Please note that this results in “random” color dyeing.
No “solid” color.
And some washing is inevitable after dyeing. Here, I
hand-wash the dyed clothes to minimize water consumption and
contamination of the sewage.

良いご質問です！
私の場合、染めるための大きなタンクや機械は持っておりません。
手作業で「ドリッピング」をするので、水はほとんど使用しません。
ただ、ここでご注意いただきたいのですが、「ドリッピング」なので、
結果はランダムなものになります。「均一な」色には決してなりません。
染めた後には何らかの選択が不可欠ですが、そこでも私は手洗いを
しております。水の消費と排水の汚染とを最小限に抑えるためですね。
