Why painted-to-order political clothes??
なぜオーダーメイドのメッセージ衣類を？？

Ever since Katherine Hamnett’s “58% don’t want Pershing” T-shirt back in the 80s,
“political” T-shirts have been around. Today, some are sold for USD20 to 30.
So, why do I dye and paint “slogan clothes” to your orders? (usually, USD70 to 150 per
slogan T-shirt, but the actual fee is negotiable)
Let me explain:

Advantages of hand-painting messages to your orders

1> “Your own messages”
This is obvious. You don’t necessarily find “precisely your messages”
on store shelves. With custom-painted clothes, you can have the messages
you want, precisely.

For instance,
some stores may carry T-shirts saying “STOP SEXISM”.
But what, if you want a harsher message like, say,
“FxCK OFF, SEXISM!”??

A T-shirt painted to your order can carry it.
Here is an example to demonstrate that:

 

 

2> Message on the shoulders, sleeves, etc. as well
As you know, printing on shoulders, sleeves, etc. is not easy.
With hand-painting, it’s easy.
Just look at the photos below.

 

 

3> Dyeing for more impact (IF you want me to)

IF you want me to, I can dye the clothes randomly,
to make it more impactful. Just look at the photo below.

Or, I can dye the clothes randomly but with paler colors, to
let your message stand out. The choice is up to you.

4> Or add paintings if you want

It’s up to your choice.
Here, in this example, I have painted some flowers.

Katherine Hamnettさんが1980年代に “58% don’t want Pershing” （市民の58%は、パーシング（という核ミサイル）の配備を望んでいない）というメッセージのTシャツを作って以来、
「ポリティカル Tシャツ」は世界に広まっていますよね。今だと、安いプリント済みのものなら、1着2,000～3,000円で手に入ります。
だったら、私はなぜわざわざオーダーメイドのメッセージTシャツを受注創作しているのでしょうか？（通常は、1着あたり7,000～15,000円くらいですが、料金は交渉に応じます）
それを、説明させてください：

ご注文に応じたハンドペイント メッセージの利点

1> “あなただけのメッセージ”

言うまでもないことですが、ご自分が欲しい正確なメッセージは、必ずしも店の棚に並んではいません。オーダーペイントの衣類なら、性格にご希望のとおりのメッセージを書き込めます。

たとえば、
“STOP SEXISM” とか書かれたTシャツ類なら、どこかの店舗にあるでしょう。
でも、あなたがもっとキツイ言葉遣いのメッセージ、たとえば
“FxCK OFF, SEXISM!” をご希望としたら？

オーダーメイドのTシャツなら、それも書き込めます。

2> 肩や袖にもメッセージ

ご存知のとおり、工場でのプリントだと方や袖にメッセージを入れるのは、
容易でありません。
ハンドペイントなら、容易です。
写真をご覧ください。.

 

 

3> （ご希望なら）ランダムに染めて、さらにインパクトを

ご希望なら、ランダムにTシャツなどを染めることもできます。
さらにインパクトが強まります。まあ、写真をご覧ください。

もちろん、「ランダムに」と言っても、薄い色を使ってメッセージを目立たせることもできます。
このあたりの選択は、お客様一人一人のお好みで。

4> あるいは、ご希望なら絵も

この例では、花を入れました。無論、ハンドペイントです。
どうするかは、あなたのお好み次第。

 

 

 

“でも、そこまでアレコレ決めるのって、複雑だなあ～”

ご心配なく!
お客様のご予算や衣類サイズ、お好みの色、ご希望のメッセージなどを
お伺いした後で、まずデザインのスケッチを下のように紙に描いて、お客様に
送信します。そこから、お客様と一緒にデザインを決めていきます。
