Croquis experiment with “12 colors of wax pastel (crayon) only and
quick strokes mostly”
I join croquis (quick drawing) sessions to try many experiments — some other artists
do so to make “fine” drawings, on the contrary. But in, say, 20 minutes!?
As for myself, I make “more complete” drawings at long drawing sessions,
while trying many different experiments at croquis sessions. I join the two
with radically different purposes.
So, on January 19, I joined a croquis session — as usual 20 minutes x 6 poses.
This time, I experimented with “12 colors of wax pastel (crayon) only and
quick strokes mostly.”
As you can easily imagine, the results were quite coarse.
Still, coarse, quick strokes carry their own atmospheres.
I hope you can sense that in the one shown here.

私がクロッキー（速写画）会に行く場合、アレコレ実験をするために行きます。
他のアーティストの皆様には、むしろ「丁寧な」デッサンを描こうと参加される
方々もいらっしゃいます。ただし、クロッキーっていうのは、せいぜい20分なのですが。
私自身は、「丁寧な」デッサンは時間を取れるデッサン会で描き、
クロッキー会ではあれやこれやと実験をしています。この2種類には、
まったく異なる目的で参加しているのですね。
で、1月19日はクロッキー会でした。いつもどおり、20分 x 6ポーズでした。
今回は、「12色のワックスパステル（クレヨン）だけ、荒っぽいストロークが大半」で
実験しました。
容易にご想像になれると思いますが、結果はかなり荒々しいものになります。
荒っぽいストロークには、独自の雰囲気がありますのでね。
ここに紹介しているクロッキーにも、それを感じ取っていただければ。
