The famous tale of Judith has been treated by numerous artists so far, and I see many of them treat the heroine as a sort of “femme fatale”.
So, I intend to present Judith as a witness to a Divine act, not anyone “fatale”, regardless of the gender.
Here, my work is in Stage 1 (just begun).
ユディトの物語は有名で、今までに数えきれないアーティストたちが描いてきました。その多くは、主人公であるユディトをfemme fataleのように扱うものですよね。
そこで私は、性別と関係なく、何か fatale な存在でもなく、神のなされた出来事への証人として扱いたいのです。
