When asked to, I work on print designs, illustrations, and copywriting as well.
In such a case, I work with a friend of mine, a print designer knowledgeable in print design software.
依頼があると、印刷物のデザインとイラスト、コピーライティングも行います。
その場合には、プリント デザインのソフトに長けたデザイナーの友人と組んで仕事をします。
As almost always in print designing, the budget, deadline, etc. are to be negotiated with the client!
言うまでもないですが、プリント デザインの場合には、予算や納期などはお客様との交渉になります。

So far, so good.
Then, later, the client changed his mind and wanted something less painful
in place of the crucified arm above (front).
So, I replaced the arm with a passion flower, to keep the same “signifie”
while making the signifient less painful. Soon the printing begins.
As you see, I can adapt to the client’s change of mind.
上で、問題はなかったのです。
ところが、後にクライアントが方針を変更され、十字架の腕は「痛々しすぎる」
ということになりました。（オモテ）
そこで、同じ意味を保ちながら「痛々しくない」画面にするため、
十字架の腕に代えてパッションフラワーを描きました。
もうすぐ、印刷です。
ご覧のとおり、クライアントの方針変更にも対応しております。

あるデザイナーの方による、そのポスターのドラフト
A certain graphic designer has prepared several drafts of the poster,
all featuring my illustration shown above.
Here is one of them.
あるグラフィック デザイナーの方が、上の私のイラストレーションをフィーチャーした
ポスターのドラフトを、数種類作成してくださいました。
下にあるのが、そのうちの２つ。
* Please keep in mind that shown here are scanned images of the real drafts.
The scanning has made the lower horizontal bar’s light green too bright.
In the real draft, the green is much nicer and the letters within it are easily legible.
＊ ここにあるのはスキャンした画像ですので、ご注意くださいませ。
スキャンのため、下の水平長方形のグリーンが明るくなりすぎていますね。
実物ではもっと優しいグリーンで、中の文字も容易に読めます。

A booklet to attract manufacturers from outside Japan to Niigata Pref., Japan (from 1987)
新潟県に国外から製造業を呼び込むためのブックレット（1987年のもの）
This is a very old sample, yet I still like it, and many designer friends do so too!
かなり古いですが、私自身も友人のデザイナーたちも、いまだに気に入っています
The 20-page booklet was delivered to all the embassies and consulates located in Japan, to
interest non-Japanese manufacturers in setting up new facilities in Niigata.
I did the English copy writing and made the designs, illustrations, and photo collages.
Then, I sent them to a typesetter and then to a printer.
20ページで、日本にあるすべての大使館や領事館に配布され、新潟県への工場誘致を呼びかけるものでした。
英語のコピー、またデザインやイラスト、写真のコラージュまで、私が一人でやりました。
（ついでながら、英語または日本語でのコピーライティングも、しているのです）
それから、写植屋さんや印刷屋さんに私が送りました。

Shown below are samples of illustrations I made for monochrome printed matter.
These I drew on my own, and delivered them in image files.
(For an “illustrations only” order, I work on my own, without help from
the print designer mentioned above.)
All hand-drawn — no digital processing.
Prices are to be negotiated.

いずれも手描きで、デジタル処理をしておりません。
