“Beyond Nukes” here means “post-nuke”, i.e., a world that has got over nuclear weapons and power. I’ve painted the message on a solid black T-shirt. Here’s its front side, detail. “Beyond Nukes” というのは、核兵器や核発電を 克服した「ポスト核」の世界のこと。 そのメッセージをソリッド ブラックのTシャツに 描いたもの。 こちらは、その前面ディテール。

As you see, in this anti-war painting, I intend to take advantage of oil pastel’s clumsy coarseness. To depict war, this coarseness works, I think. Now this is close to the finish. この反戦絵画では、御覧のとおりオイルパステルの 稚拙な荒々しさを意図的に利用しています。 戦争を描く場合、この荒々しさがむしろ役に立つと 思うのですね。 もうすぐ完成です。
