Currently, I’m working on two new projects — one a crayon (wax pastel) painting of lilies, and another one of a dreary social issue.
Since this is Easter Monday (JST), I wanted to post a sketch for the lily painting,
but I had to change my mind after hearing the sorrowful news of the bombing
terrorism in Sri Lanka!
This social issue painting, whose sketch is shown here, might look like
some terrible porn, but it’s actually about a grave social issue — domestic rapes.
Recently, the Nagoya District Court of Japan gave a “not guilty” judgment
to a father who raped his own biological daughter over and over again.

Now, this is NOT “one of those rare cases” — honestly, I have heard
depressing reports from similar victims, not a few in number.
A home can be a hellish place of violence and abuse,
and a church can be a target of terrorism —
unless we really learn the way of peace.

現在、新しい作品２つに取り組んでいます。
１つは、クレヨン（ワックスパステル）でのユリの絵、もう１つは深刻な社会問題を扱った
絵画。
今日は日本時間ではイースターマンデイなので、ユリの絵画の方のスケッチをここにアップロードしようかと思ってました。
でも、スリランカでの爆弾テロのニュースを聞いて、予定を変更したのです。
社会問題を取り上げたこの作品のスケッチは、まるで何か、ひどいポルノの
ように見えるかもしれません。でも実は、家庭内レイプという深刻な問題を
扱っています。
最近、日本の名古屋地裁、岡崎支部で呆れるような無罪判決が出ましたよね。
自分の娘を繰り返し性的虐待していた父親に、無罪判決というものです。
じつのところ、これは「まれなケースの１つ」では、ありません。
正直なところ、私自身、この種の被害者の方々から胸の痛む報告を
聞いてきました。その人数は、決して「稀」ではありません。
課程も暴力や虐待の地獄になり得ますし、
教会もテロ攻撃の対象になり得ます。
