Currently, I’m working on a 4-piece suite titled “Angels of the Elements”.
Since the suite looks coarse and wild — I mean it to be so — some might think
I am working on it on a whim.
Actually, no!
I made many thumbnails first — here I show you just two of them.
Then, I chose four thumbnails I liked, and then made quick, full-color
sketches of them. (Again, here I show just two of them.)
I made further corrections to the sketches, and then at last
I began working on the finals.
This is how I work, even when I work on something that
is meant to be coarse and wild.

目下、私は「4大元素の天使たち」という4連作の制作中ですが、
この連作は出来上がりがとても荒っぽく、ワイルドに見えます。
もちろん、意図的にそうしているのですが。
そのため、「発作的に描いているのでは？」と思われる方々もいらっしゃるかも。
実は、まったく違います！
実際にはまず、あれこれサムネールを描きます。ここに紹介したのは、
そのうちの2つだけ。
そのサムネールの中から、4連作ですから気に入ったものを4つ選びます。
それを、カラーのスケッチにします。
そうしてできたスケッチにさらに修正を加え（やはり、ここでは２つだけを
紹介しています）
スケッチにさらに修正を加え、ようやく「最終作品」の作成を始めます。
かなり荒々しく見える作品の場合でも、実は上記のようなプロセスで
制作を進めております。
