What a year of persistent aggresssions — Ukraine, Gaza, etc., —
and a break-through, sort of  — Syris –, while a Japanese
group of nuclear bomb victims won the Nobel Peace Award.
Praying for a 2025 when ceasefiress and peace will become the
order of the year, here I send you all a season’s greeting!

The peace the Savior brings in is to be “manifested” (epiphano)
at Epiphany.
Likewise, I sure hope the coming year will witness an “epiphany”
of peace in Ukraine, Gaza, Syria, etc.

2024年は、ガザやウクライナでは戦争がしつこく続く一方、
シリアではある意味でのブレイクスルーがありましたよね。
また日本の被爆者の方々のグループがノーベル平和賞を受賞
されました。
2025年は停戦と平和が基調の一年となるよう祈りつつ、
ここに皆様に季節のご挨拶を送りますね。

救い主がもたらす平和は、エピファニーにおいて「公に現れる」
（epiphaino）とされています。
同様に、来年こそはウクライナでもガザでも、シリアでも、
平和の「公現」がありますことを！

Clothing “protects” the wearer —
but from what?
The earth’s atmosphere protects us
from meteorites, yes — then can we
call it “clothes”??

ここまでは、紙にワックス パステル。
衣服とは、まとう人を「守る」もの
—  でも、何から？
地球の大気が隕石から我々を護っている
のなら、大気も一種の「衣類」なので
しょうか？
