At this stage, I am still developing my imagination
and here is how I develop it.
So, it’s quite unintelligible.
I’ll work on a more intelligible sketch —
A certain friend of mine asked me to create a
picture of (a) little girl(s) as (an) angel(s),
so I am having this imagination work first.
この段階では、まだ自分の想像を膨らませて
いる段階でして、なんやらさっぱり訳の分からない
画像です。
訳の分かるスケッチを、これから作ります。
ある友人から、「天使としての女の子」を
描くよう依頼を受けたので、こうやって
想像を働かせているわけですね。

Many cameras are unable to capture the subtleties of
wax pastel, especially its subtle colors while the work
is in progress.
So, I have to use both a camera and a scanner.

多くのカメラでは、ワックスパステルの微妙な色合いを
捕捉できません。特に、製作途中だと。
そこで、カメラとスキャナーの両方を使うことになります。

and I know well that most artists do not show
their creative processes to the public.
Yet I’m an exception.
Here is an initial imagining process as I
try to create an image of “a little girl as an angel”,
requested by a certain friend.
I begin with thumbnails like this.
Then, I work on some pencil scratches.

でも、私は例外。
こちらは、想像を働かせているプロセスの始まり。
ある友達が 「天使となった少女」の絵と仰ったので、

“Mother Earth” is almost a cliche, but
I imagined an “Earth Mother”, who gave
birth to the planet and nurtured it.
Here is Stage 1 (just begun).

今やほぼ常套句ですが、私が想像したのは
“Earth Mother” （地球の母）。
この惑星を産んで育てた母ですね。

At first, you might think this is a watercolor, but
it really is an oil pastel, applied with baby oil and brushes.
一見すると、水彩に見えるかも。
でも実際にオイルパステルで、ベビーオイルとブラシで
ペイントしたものです。

A “sopranist” is a countertenor or natural castrato that
sings with a soprano tessitura (sweet range).
I (Heeday) have been classically trained as an amateur
coloratura sopranist.
Sopranistというのは、ソプラノのテッシトゥーラで歌う
カウンターテナーあるいはナチュラル キャストラート
のことです。
私 (ひで) は、アマチュアですがクラシック系の
コロラトゥーラ ソプラニストとしての訓練を受けてきて
おります。
