まだ描き始めの習作です。
何かソフトウェアに問題があって、縦向きに配置されてしまいます！

While I left this website without an update back in this late April to mid September,
was I not drawing or painting??
Yes, I was. Back then, I did not have any decent drawing medium (and
I still need to obtain more painting media) —- so, I used some common ball-point pens.
Even before the “2020 calamities” devastated me, I used ordinary ball-point pens
to draw many sketches. So, with just a croquis book and a simple BP pen,
I can make sketches.

今年の4月下旬からこの9月中旬まで、本ウェブサイトを更新せずに
ほったらかしにしておりました。
その間、私は描くことをやめていたのでしょうか？
いいえ。その間、私は確かに「まともな」画材も持っていませんでした。
（今も、さらに画材を各種入手する必要はあります）
それでも、単なるボールペンだけでも、描くことはできます。
その「2020年の惨事」でボロボロになる以前から、私は
ありふれたボールペンでのスケッチを時折描いていたのですね。
おかげで、クロッキー帖と平凡なボールペンさえあれば、
スケッチを描くことができるのです。

It is actually an early study for a future painting, which depicts the famous event of Pentecost (Acts 2: 3), and I used my scanner, size A4, to capture it — alas, the resulting image does not sit horizontally no matter what I tried!
Just see the image with the left side set to the bottom, somehow.
I’ve got to get a better scanner someday —-
実はこれも習作でして、描き始めです。使徒言行録２：３にある有名なペン手コストの出来事を描いたものなのですが。。A4サイズまでの私のスキャナーで画像を取り込むと、どうあがいても画像が水平方向になってくれません！
なんとかして左辺を底辺にしてご覧くだされば、お分かりいただけると思います。
将来、もっと良いスキャナーを入手しませんと ・・・

すぐ下で紹介した習作ですが、
下では写真を紹介しました。でも、色が不鮮明でしたよね。

昨日と同じ”Mee mou haptou” （「私にしがみつくのは、やめてよ」、ヨハネ福音書20：17）

So, the first “study” to post as I resume this painting website is
this one — a study for a painting titled “Mee mou haptou” (Stop holding on to me).
Just a study. I have yet to decide what media to use for the finished work.
The theme is taken from Chapter 20, Verse 17 of the Gospel of John.
Though the original Greek goes “Mee mou haptou”, the utterance of Jesus has traditionally been translated “Noli me tangere” (Do not touch me), which is not a good translation. It sounds so rejecting and cold-blooded. It also makes the utterance enigmatic in its context — “for I have not yet ascended to my Father”.
The Greek literally means “Stop clinging on to me” — it’s quite natural that when you see a deceased loved one “risen” from the dead, you cling on to him/her. Our Lord’s response to her, “Stop clinging on to me, ’cause I have yet to ascend to my Father,” is in a way very humorous and loving. You know, you just cannot ascend, while someone is holding on to you!! (^O ^ )

では、本絵画ウェブサイトの再開にあたり、最初に紹介する「習作」が、これ。
今後作成する完成作は、”Mee mou haptou” (しがみついてちゃ、困るよ) というタイトルです。
ここにあるのは、あくまで習作。完成作をどの画材で作成するかは、まだ決めていません。
主題は、ヨハネ福音書の20章17節からとりました。
ここでのキリストの言葉、元のギリシャ語は”Mee mou haptou”なのですが、
伝統的には, “Noli me tangere” (さわるな) と翻訳されてきました。これは実は、あまり良い翻訳ではありません。なにか、拒否的で冷たく聞こえますよね。それに、この後に続く「まだ父のもとへと昇っていないのだから」という文脈の中では、意味不明になってしまいますよね。
このギリシャ語は文字通りには「私にしがみつくのは、やめて」というような意味なんです。想像してみてください、あなたの愛する人が死亡し、そして「復活」したとしたら・・・あなたは、その愛する人にしがみつくのも、自然な反応の1つでしょう。
主キリストがおっしゃった「私にしがみつくのは、やめてよ。まだ父のもとへ昇ってはいないのだから」というのは、そんなマリアに対するとてもユーモラスで愛情あふれる発言と理解できますよね。確かに、だれかがしがみついていたら、どこにも昇ってはいけませんからね！ (^O ^ )

Dear friends,
This is my first post here in almost five months.
Apologies for my inability to update during that time period.
I experienced some literally deadly calamities in April, and lost most of my past painting works as well as painting media!!
When I was about to pass away, I was rescued by two nice young men and have been recovering since.
Now, I can resume this painting website!!
Though I still have many problems with creating artworks, since I lost most of my painting media, I will obtain new media gradually as my recovery goes on.
Also, over the last three months or so, I’ve been making some quick sketches with ball-point pens, esquis (studies) for my future works with wax pastel (crayon), and painted T-shirts!
So, for the time being, I’ll post such studies, quick sketches, and T-shirt works here.
Please look forward to them!

ほぼ5か月ぶりの更新になりますね。
しばらく更新できませんでした。お詫び申し上げます。
実は、4月に文字通り死に至りかねない災難に見舞われまして、その際に私の過去の作品のほとんど、画材もほとんどを失いました。
（死にそうなところで）2名の若い善意の男性に救出された次第です。それ以来、回復の道を歩んでおります。
本日、この絵画ウェブサイトも再開いたします！
アートワークの創作にあたっては、まだ画材が不足しているため、いろいろ問題があるのですが、今後段階的に新たな画材を入手してまいります。
さらにこの3か月間ほど、ボールペンでのクイックスケッチや、将来の作品のためのワックスパステルでのエスキース（習作）、またペイントTシャツなどを創作しております。
ですからしばらくは、そうした習作やクイックスケッチ、ペイントTシャツなどを本サイトで紹介してまいります。

As I said before, my intention in this suite is to

and create a new myth for each of the twelve.

I know this looks like some cartoons —
— a tulip gave me the inspiration for this.
Two large petals seemed to embrace each other,
at least to me.
So, a funny idea hit me: “A large flower with two petals
that embrace each other — and the two are of two different colors.”

この絵は、何か漫画っぽいなあと自分でも思います。
あるチューリップから着想を得たものです。
大きな花弁2枚が、お互いを抱擁しあうように見えたのですね。
そこで、おかしな発想が： 「2枚の大きな花弁で出来ている花、
それも2枚は色が違って、お互いを抱擁しあっている」
