What?? Just a plain parka and a scratch on paper — ??

This is how I start clothes painting. All I have is the fabric paints and
the clothes to paint.
Then, I consider the motifs, positions, colors, etc. of what I’m going to paint while watching the clothes.
When I decide to settle down with a design, I make a quick sketch of it on a sheet of paper.

Then, and only then, the painting starts.

なんだあ？？ 単純なパーカと紙に描いた下絵 ・・・

衣類へのペインティングを始めるとき、こんな感じで始まります。
手元にあるのは、布用のペイントと対象となる服だけ。
それから、モチーフや配置、色などを考えます。対象となっている服を見ながら。
あるデザインに決めたら、そのデザインを紙にざっと描きます。これが、下絵になります。

そこまで出来て、ようやくペインティングが始まります。

As I said before this “other website” is an anti-nuke site written mostly in Japanese, since it is aimed at those Japanese readers who still “Atoms for Peace” is an effective strategy of nuclear control. The anti-nuke website introduces to readers many actual examples of the strategy failing to work.

I’m not a cartoonist (you know, I’m basically a “fine art” painter), yet I create some clumsy, coarse cartoons to illustrate the long text of the no-nuke website. So, if you want to see them, just click the link above, even if you do not read Japanese.

In the latest page posted, which describes a rather scary nuclear situation around the Persian Gulf, I have accordingly created and placed some scary cartoons —

以前にも申し上げたように、このリンク先は反核のウェブサイトで、ほとんど日本語です。日本語読者の皆様の中で、いまだに「核エネルギーの平和利用」を信じてしまっている方々を対象にしたウェブサイトなので。
実際にはこの「平和利用」とやらの戦略が機能しなかった実例を多数紹介しております。

私は漫画家ではないので、漫画を描くのは苦手です。（私は基本的に、いわゆるファインアートの絵描きなので）荒っぽいものしか、描けません。それでも、反核ウェブサイトではテキストが長くなるので、所々荒っぽい漫画を描いて配置してあります。ご覧になりたい方は、上のリンクをクリック！

今回のページはペルシャ湾岸での不気味な核情勢を扱っているので、漫画もややオドロオドロしいものにしました。

I’m running another website, which is not about art or painting but about
the “inseparability between nuclear weapons and power generation”.

This anti-nuke website’ text is mostly Japanese. Still, there are some cartoon
illustrations I have created, though they are scratchy — you know, it’s not a
painting website so some scratchy cartoons to illustrate the long text will do.

本会はウェブサイト以外に、私はもう1つサイトをやっております。

Here is Stage 1 (just begun) of the “Male Soprano 2” T-shirt below.

As you see, while this one shows strong color contrasts, the first “Male Soprano”
(below on Oct. 28 and 30) one was first dyed in subtle colors.
I can adjust the coloring to your taste as far as I can!

When you order some hand-painted clothes to me, first please let me know:
– Your budget
– The motif / message you want painted
– The colors you want
in addition to the kind of clothes, size, etc. you want.

下の “Male Soprano 2” Tシャツの背面、描き初めです。

この “2” は色彩のコントラストが強いのに対し、1つ目（下の10月28日と30日）は最初に微妙な色合いで染めていましたよね。
そんなふうに、色調もご希望に合わせて可能な限り調整いたします。

this time, on a solid black shirt.

I’ve been slowly working on this wax pastel study for a future painting, to be titled “Cosmos Field II”, and now it is at a halt.
Why?
I have found an interesting persimmon tree, which I made a quick sketch of, and now I hope to move forward with it, rather than this cosmos field.
I’ll show you a study for the persimmon tree in the near future.

Cosmos Field II というタイトルにする予定の将来の絵画作品のための、このワックスパステルの習作ですが、一旦停止にします。
なぜか？
面白い柿の木を見つけたので、それをスケッチしたのですね。
それを作品へと進めたく思います。その間、このコスモス フィールドの習作は
一旦停止とします。
柿の木の習作を、近いうちに紹介しますね。
