20-min croquis from Mar 17 / 3月17日の20分クロッキー
Background added later / 後で背景を加えたもの
Maybe some of you know that around this time of the year, many in Japan
gather around cherry blossoms to hold parties under the banner of
“appreciating the beauty of cherry flowers.”
The left 20-min croquis above is originally from a March 17 croquis session.
Now, some days later, while I was walking through countless people who
were watching cherry flowers along a road, I noticed someone looking
away from the flowers — she seemed to be lost in some thought.
I found it interesting, so I added this background to the 20-min croquis
from March 17, as shown in the right image above.

日本にいらっしゃる皆様はご存じのとおり、
今頃のシーズン、桜の花が咲くと、みなさん「お花見」に
集まりますよね。
で、「桜の花をめでる」という名目のもとで、パーティーをやって
騒ぐわけです。
上の左の画像は、もともとの3月17日のクロッキー会からのものです。
何日か後、桜が咲き誇ったロードを私が歩いていると、
たくさんの人たちが桜の花の周囲に集まっておいででした。
そこで、ひとり、桜の花とは反対の方向を見て何か物思いに
ふけってらっしゃる女性を見かけたのですね。
その方のことが印象に残ったので、上の右側のように、20分クロッキーに
背景を加えたわけです。
