Another croquis session I joined on April 15 — as usual, 20 minutes x 6 poses.
This one I did with a tri-color ball-point pen and a black felt-tip marker.

The painting on the dyed shirt’s front is done.
I’ve named it “Lilia”, the Latin for “lilies” — an irony to the shirt’s avant-garde,
street design.

So, the oil pastel work from March 25 below is now done!
Two “bodies” merging for warmth —-IF you want to think of something sexual, it’s up to you, but remember, it was a common practice for two or more humans to “merge” in a freezing environment. Just watch what some cats do, on a shivering day!
下の3月25日のオイルパステルの作品、完成です。
2つの身体が、暖かさを求めてマージする ・・・ セクシャルな連想をなさるのはご自由ですが、
凍りつくような環境下では身体と身体を寄せ合うのは、良くあることだったのを、お忘れなく。
震えるような冬の日に、ネコとネコを観察していても、お分かりいただけるはず。

Below on March 28, I finished dyeing this shirt. So, I painted a floral cross on its back —

Yesterday, April 1, I joined another croquis session. As usual, 20 minutes x 6 poses.
Alas, early during the 6th pose, my tummy began to cry out — a sudden stomach pain.
First I thought I could carry it through until the end of the last pose. Oh no, my tummy would not listen to me, so 5 minutes into the pose, I dashed to the restroom.
I felt sorry for the model, who was doing a good job.
I came back, and, well, there were only 2 minutes left —
So, I ended up with this coarse, quick, 7-minute croquis.

昨日、4月1日もクロッキー会に行ってきました。いつもどおり、20分 X 6ポーズです。
なんとまあ、最後のポーズが始まってしばらくすると、ポンポンが痛みだして～
その20分のポーズで終わりなのですから、最後まで何とかできるだろうと思ったのですが ・・・
お腹というのは困りもので、言うことを聞いてくれません。やむなく、5分経過の時点でおトイレに駆け込んで。。
モデルさんは良くやってらしたので、申し訳なかったのですが。
戻ってくると、残り時間は2分だけ。
結局、このポーズは下の荒っぽい7分クロッキーになりました。

Here’s what I intended — well, actually, in this painting I went along with “automatism”, so my “intention” just came up shortly before I worked.

Way below on January 23rd, I started working on an oil pastel project — I meant to make some “gentle and smooth” painting, after making some “coarse and wild” ones depicting some social realities.
After almost two months of thinking about what to do with it, I’ve resumed the work.
ずっと下の1月23日、あるオイルパステルの作品を始めました。それまでオイルパステルでは、社会の現実を扱った「荒っぽく、ワイルドな」画面を主に描いていたので、ときにはオイルパステルで「滑らかで優しい」画面を描こうとしたものですね。
2か月ほど、どう進めるかを考えていたのですが、ようやく再開しました。

I joined in another croquis session on March 18. As usual, 6 poses x 20 minutes each.
In this one, I wanted to “vaporize” the model’s body — I hope that intention is clearly visible in it.
