So, in this “curvism” experiment, I tried separation of the motif (from Croquis Cafe 200)
from its surrounding.
Well, I’ve found this disappointing — I see no reason for employing “curvism” with
such separation.

I’ll try something else next.

「曲線描」のこの実験では、モチーフ （Croquis Cafe 200より） と
周囲の空間とを分離させてみました。
さて、どうも気に入りません。「なぜ、”曲線描” を使用するのか？」、
その意図・理由が見えないからですね。

他のやり方を試します。

was shown below on May 22, is now done.

I thought adding further curves to this experiment would result in
a bit messy painting.
Since this is an experiment anyway, I tried it.
Just as I expected, in “curvism”, adding too many lines can
mess up the whole picture.
So, it is crucial to determine “when to stop”!

同じ実験なのですが、さらに曲線を加えると「ゴチャゴチャ」して
しまうだろうなと判断してました。
でもこれは、あくまで「実験」なので、実際にやってみたのですね。
予想通り、「曲線描」では、曲線が多すぎると全体が
ごった返します。
ですから、「どこでやめるか」を判断するのが大切になりますね。

More work on the experiment with my older felt-tip markers,
shown below on May 18.
As you see, I think I can compose some paintings that
consist of “curved lines alone” with thick markers.
I’ll experiment more with them —

描画ならできるのでは？

Some progress from May 16 below —

Currently, I’m busy with my other website,
an anti-nuke site aimed at Japanese readers,
and rather slow in painting progress.
So, I need some time before I post Stage 3.

下の５月１６日から、いくらか進みました。

今のところ、私のもう１つのウェブサイト

の作成で多忙でして、絵画の方がゆっくりに
なっております。
そのため、ステージ３をアップロードするまで、
しばしお時間をくださいませ。

Stage 2 with o.3mm pens. This exercise continues. / 0.3mmマーカーでの練習、ステージ２。続きます。

So, I’ve got a new set of 0.3mm felt-tip pens, but
did I threw away my older, thicker set??
I thought over what to do with it, and found out that
I could use it with compositions of lines.
I tried this one, shown below, to explore how
I should work with “lines only.”

This trial continues. for some time to come.

そんなわけで0.3mmのマーカーペンのセットを
手に入れたのですが、以前の太いマーカーのセットは
捨ててしまった ・・・ わけじゃ、ありません！
それを何に使えるのかを考えた結果、線だけの
構成には使えそうです。
ここにお見せしているものを実験として、
線だけでの描き方を探っています。

実験は、しばらく続きます。
