At this stage, this is still “scratchy” — with its colors dim in the poor lighting!
Well, I’ll show you “truer colors” from Stage 3 onwards with my scanner.

このステージではまだ、「下絵」ぽいですね。露光が足らず、色彩もぼやけてますし。
ステージ３以降、スキャナーも使って実際に近い色をお見せします。

Here’s Stage 2 of “Capricorn 1” shown below on Feb. 1
Again, sorry for the poor lighting.
I’ll show you scanner images as well from Stage 3 onwards,
to show you colors closer to the real ones.

My time has been occupied recently by creating new pages to my other
website, which is an anti-nuke one written in Japanese.
I’ve been busy researching and writing about proliferation risks of
the Integral Fast Reactor (IFR).
Once my “IFR days” are over, I’ll update this painting website more often!

またまた、光が足りない写真で、申し訳ない！
ステージ３以降では、実物に近い色が出るスキャナー画像も紹介しますね。

このところ、私のもう１つのウェブサイト「やかんをのせたら～～」に
時間を取られており、こちらの絵画サイトの更新を頻繁に行えません。
Integral Fast Reactor (IFR) という新型原子炉の proliferation risk
（核兵器につながってしまうリスク）について調べ、執筆しております。
「IFRの日々」が終わったら、こちらの絵画サイトの更新も平常通り行えるでしょう。

I’m currently busy with my other website, which is an anti-nuke one
written in Japanese.
So, I am currently not able to update this painting website very often.
Still, I’m having some drawing exercise, as you see right here.
This one is based on Croquis Cafe 366 — too bad, in the
current “omicro-demic” I am unable to join an in-person
drawing session!
Let’s pray a day should come back to us soon when we can
work together in a physical studio drawing a “3D” person!

多忙でして、この絵画サイトをあまり頻繁に更新できません。
それでも、デッサン練習はやっております。その例をこちらに。
こちらはCroquis Cafe 366をベースにしております。
しかし、現在のオミクロン騒ぎの中で、実際のモデルさんを描く
デッサン会に参加できないのが残念です。
またアトリエにみんなで集まって、ともに「立体の人物」を
描ける日が、早く来ることを祈ります。

In the “Zodiacs” series, on which I’m currently working to set the
constellations free from astrology and any fortune telling,
basically each constellation carries three pictures.
Let our imaginations go beyond the convention of
the Zodiacs = astrology!
The first one is Capricorn, and here is just the beginning of
its third painting.

この「黄道12星座」のシリーズの制作を始めておりますが、
これは占星術や占いなどから、12の星座を解き放とうとする
ものです。基本的に、1つの星座に3つの絵画です。
想像力を、「黄道12星座 ＝ 占星術」という決まり事から、
解き放ちましょうよ！
最初の星座はやぎ座。その3枚目の絵画、これはまだ描き始め。

Another painting for the Zodiacs series, only just begun.
Basically, I plan to create three paintings for each of the
12 constellations. Currently, I am working on the first
constellation, Capricorn, and here is a second picture
for the goat.

Anyway, it’s just a beginning.

Now, I am working on a long series of paintings associated with
the Zodiacs, the 12 constellations.
Upon a mention of “the Zodiacs”, many think of astrology — thus
limiting our imaginations.

In this new series, I am creating new fables tuned to the 12 constellations,
completely irrelevant to fortune telling.
The series begins with Capricorn, and then moves on to Sagittarius –>
Scorpio, Libra, etc.

で、黄道１２星座に対応した絵画の長いシリーズを制作中です。
「黄道１２星座」というと、多くの方々は占星術を想起されますが、
想像が制約されているわけですね。

この新シリーズでは、12の星座に関連した新しいおとぎ話を
創作してまいります。占いとは、まったく無関係に。
シリーズはCapricorn（やぎ座）から始まり、Sagittarius
（いて座）⇒ Scorpio（さそり座）、Libra（てんびん座）、・・・
と進んでいきます。

So, this exercise is done.
Based on Croquis Cafe 200.

Again, I am still longing for a day when I can join
drawing sessions again. In the current quarantine situation,
such a session is too risky to join — some 20 to 25 artists pack
the studio, where the ventilation is not good.

待ち続けております。現在の社会は隔離状態で、この種の集会は
リスクが高すぎますよね。１つのアトリエに２０から２５名の
アーティストが集まるのですが、換気が良くないので。

Ball-point pen, neighborhood park / 近所の公園で、ボールペン

True, basically a ball-point pen is an instrument of writing, rather than drawing.
Actually, anything that draws a solid, fine line can be used for drawing,
as you see in my quick sketch below.
I usually take a small croquis book and a ball-point pen when I go out.
If I find an interesting object, I use the pen to make a very quick sketch of it.

This is a chatting place in a neighborhood park. I found its pillars interesting —
— they show different scenes depending on where you stand.

確かに、ボールペンとは基本的には文字を書くための道具で、線画を描く
ためのものじゃないですね。
でも実際には、途切れない細い線を描いてくれるものなら、
なんでも描画にも使えます。
私は外出するとき、小さなクロッキー ブックとボールペンとを持っていく
ことが多いのですね。
で、何か面白い物体を見つけたら、そのボールペンでクイック スケッチをします。

上に示しているのは、近所の公園にある談話場所です。
柱が面白いと思いました。見る角度に応じて、配列が変わるのが。
