Here, I mean to show how dyes change their colors after the fabric
has dried.
Above, I intentionally chose two complementary colors, yellow and purple,
to emphasize what drying does.
Shown here is a plain white shirt just after dyeing.
Please wait till you see how it looks after drying —

ここでは、布が乾燥すると染料の色がどれだけ変わるのかを
お見せしたいのですね。
この２枚の画像では、乾燥するとどう変色するのかを分かりやすく
示すため、イエローとパープルという補色を選びました。
もとは、単純に真っ白なシャツでした。染めた直後には、ご覧の通りの色でした。
乾くとどうなるのか、次回の記事をお待ちください。

Further development of the drawing exercise I showed way below on Dec. 21, 2021.
Still some more work to do.

Now the omicron variant is ruling the world, I still have to wait some more
before I can join croquis and drawing sessions again — too bad!
For the time being, I’ll have to do with drawing exercises with
2D images (photos, videos) and sculptures!

ずっと下の12月21日に紹介したデッサン練習、進みました。
こちらがステージ2。

オミクロン株が世界を牛耳ってしまっているので、またデッサン会やクロッキー会に
参加できるまでには、もうしばらく待たないといけないですね。
当面は、ビデオや写真のような平面画像を使うか、彫刻などを描くしか
選択がないですね。

Just a drawing exercise — still in progress / 単なるデッサン練習、まだ進行中

A “new wave” of the current pandemic seems to have set in here in Tokyo as well —
which means I cannot join a croquis / drawing session, whose venue is
usually crowded.

So, for now, I have to do with videos like Croquis Cafe, whose Edition 200
I have used above.
Since, however, 2D –> 2D is very different experience than 3D –> 2D,
I am longing to join croquis sessions after the pandemic is over —

ここ東京では、現在のパンデミックの「ニュー ウェーブ」が始まって
しまったようですね。ですから、まだデッサン会やクロッキー会に参加できません。
デッサン会などの会場は多くの場合、混雑していますからね。

そこで今のところ、Croquis Cafeのようなヴィデオを使ってデッサン練習を続けて
いるのですが、上の例はCroquis Cafeのナンバー200より。
でも、しょせん 2D –> 2D は、3D –> 2D とはかなり異なる作業です。
早くパンデミックが終わり、またデッサン会などに行きたいです。

Here, I’m working on a flower called “dianthus”, known to inhabit
the European Alps.

Here is the back side of the dyed and painted shirt shown just below.
The figure is a personification of the air / wind.
Some recognize it as Raphael, traditionally the angel of the wind.
Yet the recognition is up to each of you.

人物のようなものは、風／空気の擬人化です。
人によっては、伝統的に「風の天使」とされていたラファエルと
ご覧になるようですね。
