好奇心が身を滅ぼす場合もあることは分かっていますが、それでも何が到来しているのか、
見ようとしますよね。
少なくても、私自身は身をひそめて目を閉じたいとは、思いません。

Here is yet another painting I’m working on.
Only just begun. It’s an addition to my “Argument” series.

You know, “logophobia” means “fear of language,” something
meaningless arguments can invite —

こちらは、描き始めたばかりの新作。
私の “Argument” （口論）シリーズの新作です。

“logophobia” とは「言語恐怖症」
無意味な口論が続くと、そういう結果も招きかねませんね。

I showed Phase 1 of this work below on October 13.
Now, here’s Phase 2.

This is a strange painting to myself — usually, I make a pencil drawing of the finished work at the beginning of the whole process, and then work on it with colors, often modifying some parts of the pencil drawing.
With this one, however, I resorted a lot to “automatism” and so I did not and do not know
what comes in where.

下の10月13日に、この作品のフェーズ１をお見せしました。
こちらは、フェーズ２．

本作は、私自身にとっては奇妙なものです。
多くの場合、私は最初に鉛筆の下絵を描き、それから色彩を使った作品を描いて
いきます。無論、部分的な修正も加えていきますが。
ところが本作では、かなりの部分を「オートマティズム」によって進めています。
そのため、どこに何が来るのかは、私自身にも分からなかったのですね。

I think it’s quite meditative —-
