Once again, this is based on a wild imagination I had —
A terrorist hit a busy street with a queer weapon called “freeze bomb.”
A rescue team rushed to save the victims, but it is divided over how to save them —
a steam iron? A chisel and hammer? Or a fire thrower?

You see, I’ve seen good people, gathered for a good cause, being divided
over how to achieve their good goal — too many times.

“Argument III — To the Rescue” が完成しました。

改めて、本作はかなり奇妙な想像に基づいています ・・
ある大通りで、「冷凍爆弾」なる奇妙な兵器によるテロが発生。
救助チームが現場に急行しましたが、被害者をどう救助するかで、
意見が対立。スティーム アイロンか、ノミとハンマーか、それとも
火炎放射器か？？

お分かりのとおり、善意の方々が良い目的のために集まったのだけど、
具体的にどうするかで分裂してしまうことが、あまりに頻繁にありますよね。

I joined in another human model croquis (quick drawing) session on September 3, and here is one from there —
You might think the model’s upper arms are too thin, but actually, in this piece I drew the model as she was — she did have some thin arms, just like some women do.

Rather, this one shows the way I am — I tend to consider the “space around the motif” as something inseparable from the motif, while all the other artists at work there simply focused on the model. You know, in Einstein’s relativity, the relative velocity of an object alters its length — therefore, its shape as well. Thus, an object’s relation with the “space” around it affects the object itself. Thus, to me, a motif object is never actually separable from the space around it —-

9月3日も人体クロッキー（速写画）会があって、そこで描いたものの1つです。
上腕部が細すぎるとお考えの方もいらっしゃるかも。でも実は、これでモデルさん実物に忠実です。彼女は腕が細い方でした。実際、そういう女性の方々がいらっしゃいますよね。

そんなことよりも、このクロッキーにも、私の特徴が出ていますね。つまり、「モチーフの周囲の空間」とモチーフを、分離させない。このクロッキー会にいらっしゃった私以外のアーティストの皆さんは全員、モデルさんのみに集中してらっしゃいましたが、私は物体との周辺の空間とを、結び付けて見ているのですね。
アインシュタインの相対論では、物体の相対速度が、その長さにも影響しますよね。つまり、その物体の形状に影響する。つまり、空間との関係が、物体の形状にも関係するわけですね。ですから私にとっては、モチーフとなっている物体は、決して周囲の空間と別ではないのですね。

I told the weird imagination behind this painting below, on August 23rd.
I don’t know if a wicked weapon like a “freeze bomb” will ever be invented or not (I definitely hope not), but the focus is rather on the division of opinions on how to rescue the victims among the rescue team members — you know, in our harsh reality, “good” people often get together to do something good but split over what to do in specific activities —-  (>_ < ;;;)

この絵の背後にある奇妙なイマジネーションについては、下の8月23日に述べたとおりです。
「冷凍爆弾」なんて奇妙な兵器が現実に発明されるかどうかは、私には分かりませんが
（されないことを願っています！）、絵の主題はむしろ、レスキュー隊の内部での救出方法に関する意見の対立にあります。
お分かりのとおり、我々の過酷な現実においては、「善良な」人たちが集まって何か良いことをしようとするのですが、具体的にどうするかとなると分裂してしまう場合がよくあります。 — (>_ < ;;)

This black T-shirt is something I painted years ago.
The motif is time-honored “spiritus gladius” (sword of spirit), so nothing new.
Yet instead of the traditional “codex” in the good-ol’ symbol, I painted fire around the sword on the front, with a “scroll” saying “spiritus gladius” on the back.
You know, a T-shirt has two sides — (^o^ ;;)

この黒のTシャツは、何年も前にハンドペイントしたものです。
モチーフは古からある”Spiritus Gladius” （スピリットの剣）で、新しいものじゃありません。
ただ、伝統的には「コーデックス」（今の形式の書物）を配するのですが、
私は表の剣の周囲には炎を配し、裏面にスクロール（巻物）を描いて”Spiritus Gladius” と
書き込みました。
言うまでもなく、Tシャツには表と裏がございます。。。(^o^ ;;)

“ana-stasis” と名付けましたが、ギリシャ語で文字通りには「再度立ち上がる」という意味です。

下の8月11日にお見せしたスケッチで、作業を進めております。
ちょっとオカシナ想像によるものでして ・・・ 人通りの多いストリートで、「冷凍爆弾」なる奇妙な新型爆弾によるテロが発生。救助チームが到着したのですが、被害者をどう救助するかで、口論になってしまいました。スチームアイロンか、ノミとハンマーか、火炎放射器か？？？
