自分の左手首にしていたブレスレットを、ぶつけて壊してしまいました。
そこで、新しいブレスレットを作ろうとしています。
モティーフは、天然の小石が２つ。表面は磨いてあるものですが、
穴が空いていません！
大抵のビーズには、テグス糸を通すための穴が空けてありますよね。（写真右の円盤）
でもこの天然の小石には、ご覧のとおり、穴がありません。最大幅が1.5㎝程度の小さな
小石なので、ドリルで穴を開けようとしても、割れてしまうだけでしょう。だいいち、こんな小さな
穴をあけるためのドリルは、工場に行かないと見つからないですね。

Accidentally, I hit an object with a bracelet I was wearing on my left wrist and broke it.
So, I’m working on a new one.
The motif? Two natural little pebbles — polished on the surface, but without a hole in them!
Most beads, as you know, have a tiny hole or two in them so you can insert a fishing line through it. (Note the holes in the silver circle in the photo below.)
Yet as you see, the pebbles have no hole in them at all!
A power drill?? — Well, these pebbles are only somewhere around 1.5cm (0.6″) in width and too small for powered drilling. Besides, a bead hole is such small and one can only find such a tiny hole drill only at factories.
Then, what am I going to do with those two li’l pebbles?? Just wait and see my next post here!
