So, it’s done!
It’s a 51.5cm W x 57.5cm H (20.3″ x 22.7″) oil painting on carton.
Apologies for the light reflections in the photo —so, I had to take two shots, at slightly different angles, as shown below. Click on each photo to enlarge.

This painting itself is not for sale. It’s my prayer in painting for all those persecuted, oppressed, etc. How can a prayer ever be exchanged for money??
So, here, please consider it as another sample of my paintings.

Weeping Face 完成です。
51.5cm W x 57.5cm H のカートン紙に油彩です。
写真には、光の反射が映っちゃってますね。私は写真家ではないので、ご了承を。下では、角度を変えて写真2つを紹介しています。写真をクリックすると、拡大します。

この作品そのものは、非売品です。すべて弾圧・抑圧されている人たちのための、絵画による祈りのようなものですから、販売のための作品ではないのです。
まあここでは、私の絵画作品サンプルの1つとお考えください。

So, this is in a way a pastel version of “Weeping Face,” made to a poem written by a friend of mine, titled “Woeful Days.”  This means this version is “illustrative,” so it is “lighter” than the oil-on-paper version, yet this pastel version shares the same intention — a prayer for all those in grief, persecution, oppression, etc.
The oil version will soon be done as well.

こちらは、Weeping Face のパステル バージョンとも言えるものですが、実は友人が書いた “Woeful Days” （嘆きの日々）という詩に合わせたイラストです。つまり、こちらは一種の「イラスト」であり、その分「ライト」（軽い／明るい）になっています。しかし意図は同じで、すべて嘆く人、弾圧されている人のための祈りのようなものです。
油彩バージョンのほうも、近く完成します。

Woeful Days —

here are more photos of the ball, taken at different angles. See how just a small difference in the angle creates all the different radiances of colors.
Now, I’m working on another “object” of the same kind (beaded object containing a few other beads inside). In several days, I’ll show you some photos of the “new object of the same kind” in the making. When all such objects are done, I’ll combine them into a “choker of ever-changing radiance.”

下のスワロスキービーズのボール、別の写真を。内部に緑と赤のビーズを入れたため、ちょっとした角度の違いで色のきらめきが変貌します。
現在、同じような（内部にビーズが入った、ビーズ製の）物体を作成中です。数日したら、その「新しい同種の物体」のメイキング写真も紹介しますね。そうした物体が全部できたら、「変貌を続けるきらめきのチョーカー」にします。

OK, it’s just a ball, and the ball itself is done — though a strap / cord to attach it to a, say, choker has yet to be made.
It’s done, and it’s just a beaded ball — what’s the big beef???  Two small beads!
I contained two small beads, one red and the other green, inside the crystalline beaded ball, to vitalize and complicate the color reflections on the ball further.

Now, see how the ball with the two small beads, in place of some big beef, in it works, in the photos below. Every different pair of angles of the camera and the light source creates a different color radiance on the ball.
Please note my poor camera is not good enough to capture the real radiance on a small object like this. I swear the real thing looks way more radiant and enchanting than do the photos below.

で、その「ただのボール」、本体は完成しました。「本体」の完成でして、たとえばチョーカーに取り付けるためのコードはまだですが。
けど、「ただのビーズのボールじゃないか？どこが、騒ぐほどのもんでえ？？」
ボールの内部です。中に、赤いビーズ1個と緑のビーズ1個を入れてあるのです。それにより、ボールのカラフルな反射がさらに複雑化しました。

下の写真で、その様子をご覧くださいな。カメラと光源の角度を変えるたびに、ボールのきらめきが色を変えるわけですね。
私のカメラはボロで、小さな物体のきらめきを十分にとらえられないことにもご注意くださいませ。実物のボールは、この写真よりもずっと素敵に輝いております。

ビーズ作品の方では、私が現在進めているのは「ただのボール」です。下の写真でお分かりのとおり、現時点では何の変哲もない「ボール」です。これからどうするのか？ しばしお待ちください！

I’m working on my next painting project as well, and here are some “thumbnails” for that.
“Thumbnails” look quite messy and often make sense to the artist him/herself alone — so, usually I don’t show them to others. Yet this time I wish to show you a bit about how some order comes out of chaos, and here’s part of that chaos.

次の絵画作品にも取り組んでおりまして、その「サムネール」の一部です。
「サムネール」の段階では、とにかくカオスで、そのアーティスト本人にしか意味をなさないことが多いのですね。ですから、通常はサムネールは他人に見せないものなのですが、今回はいかに「カオスから秩序」が生じてくるのかの例として、サムネールを少し公開いたします。

The pastel version of Weeping Face is also in progress – though slowly.
With pastel, I have to work on the solid background first. So, the “face” has yet to emerge.

Weeping Faceのパステル バージョンも進行中です。かなりゆっくりですが。
パステル版では、まずしっかりと背景を作ることにしたので、まだ「顔」は現れていません。

Apologies that the photos below are blurred — still I think you see now this painting is almost done. I guess it’s finally done during the coming Easter Week. Today happens to be Good Friday, and the Weeping should be done soon after Easter —
— Arise, all you oppressed and persecuted!

写真がぼやけているのは、ご勘弁を。それでも、Weeping Faceがほぼ完成してきたのは、お分かりいただけるでしょう。来週、つまりイースターの週に完成しそうです。そして今日はたまたま、聖金曜日。Weepingはイースターの直後に done （完了する、成し遂げられる）ということになりそうです。
すべて迫害されし者、目覚めよ、立て！

I’ve been working on another “weeping face” for a friend — it’s in pastel and color pencil.  I took this photo almost two weeks ago, so actually the real thing has been worked on since then. I’ll show you more photos as the work proceeds.

実は “weeping face” にはもう1バージョンありまして、そちらはパステルと色鉛筆です。この写真は2週間ほど前のものなので、実物はこれより作業が進んでいます。また、作業の進行に合わせてもっと写真をアップロードしますね。
