やかんをのせたら「平和利用」？？－Heeday Francis (yadokari_ermite[at]yahoo.co.jp)

やはり、8月上旬は広島・長崎、そしてチェルノブイリや福島、サスカチュワン北部、その他ウラン採鉱や核実験で犠牲にされた人たちのことを思い起こしますね。
「アトリエ あなすたーしゃ」の業務と直接の関係はないですが ～～　しかし、言うまでもなく、核ミサイルも銃弾も飛んでこないからこそ、ビジネスをやってられるんです！
核が飛んでくる、爆弾が降ってくるという状況では、「平常どおり営業」なんてありえません。
シリア、イラク、アフガニスタン、パレスチナ、中央アフリカ、ナイジェリア ・・・　その他各地の平和を祈り、昔描いたクロッキー（速写画）を挙げておきますね。（紙に水彩とパステル）　10分程度で描いたものですが、時間がないだけに、技術的な問題を無視して、祈りに集中して描けるという利点もございます。

Early August is a time when many think of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Chernobyl, Fukushima, northern Saskatchewan, and other places where people were victimized to uranium mining, nuke weapon tests, etc.
Though this problem certainly has nothing “directly” with Atelier anastasia’s business, we still have to keep in mind that we can be committed to our business only if no missile, bullet, or anything crazy is coming in.  With any of these instruments of insanity flying in, there is no “business as usual.”
Above, I’ve posted a “croquis” I made years ago　(water and paastel on paper), now praying for Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Central Africa, Nigeria, and —. Drawn in 10 minutes or so, it is coarse, yet this time limit allows the artist to leave all the technical issues behind and concentrate on “prayer.”

Tokyo’s summer can be literally dangerous, with the daily high reaching somewhere around 36C (97F) almost everyday, recently. Today, thank God, we had a daytime shower and it’s not so terrible. I even wish the clouds would stay up there for the rest of August, so the summer would go away soon ~~~
I am still getting new ad writing jobs, so please wait until I come up with a new work to post here.
For now, thanks to the heat and tight deadlines, I look like the oil painting below, which I made back in 1990.

東京の暑さは危険なほどで、このところ毎日の最高気温は36C 近くに達しております。今日は、昼間に雨が降ってマシになりましたが。できることなら、上空の雲には8月終わりまで居座ってほしいものです。早く夏が終わるように。。
相変わらず新しいライティングの仕事が入ってきております。ここで紹介できる新しい作品ができるまで、まだしばらくお待ちくださいな。
現時点では、仕事の納期と暑さのおかげで、私はかなりくたびれております。1990年に描いた、この油彩画のように～～

I haven’t been able to upload a photo of new work / experiment over the last week or so, thanks to many ad (copy) writing jobs coming in to me. (I’ve got four to do this weekend!)
When I come up with a new work / experiment I can show you, I will post its photo(s) here in.

今朝が納期だった急ぎのライティング仕事、徹夜で終わらせました！
これから 「夕食」を取って、眠ります～～  (^O^ ;;;)
起きたら、ハンドペイントTシャツもビーズ アクセサリーも、平常の営業に戻れます～～
（それにしても、異常な生活ですなあ！　まあ、真夏には夜間に仕事をした方が、エネルギー消費をむしろ削減できるという利点はありますが。。）

I’ve done the rush writing jobs, after working all night long on them!
Now, I can have my “supper” (It’s 10:20am JST!) and put myself to sleep —
After I get up, the hand-paint T-shirt and beaded accessory business should resume as “business as usual.”
(Well, it’s one crazy lifestyle — In the deadly mid-summer of Tokyo, though, working during the nighttime with no need for an air-conditioner actually saves energy. )

あるお客様から「バイクのキーホルダー用」に先日のグリーン クロスのご注文をいただいておりました。急ぎのライティングの仕事で日数をとられ、本日ようやく、とりあえず完成しました。お客様に画像を送り、これで良いか否かご確認いただいているところです。
この画像では、左側の「丸い大きなビーズ」の周囲で、緑のシードビーズの「輪」の下半分が見えませんね。下半分が存在しないわけではなくて、耐久性のため太い船釣り用テグスを2本使っているため、テグスの「くせ」で下半分が隠れてしまっているわけです。

A certain customer has made an order for the green cross below, yet this time to be “attached to a motor cycle key holder”. Some urgent writing jobs occupied my time, and at last the cross is done, for the customer’s approval. Currently, the customer is examining the image to determine whether or not this cross is good enough.
Now, in the photo below, the left side “sphere” seems to lack the “lower half of the chain of green seed beads.” The plain fact is, the lower half does exist. Alas, since I had to use rather thick fishing lines (to be tied to a motor bike keyholder!!), whose resiliency is really strong. This resiliency brought the lower half to the back of the “sphere,” when this image was scanned. Thick fishing lines are quite durable, yet their resiliency can be a problem.
