I worked further on another 20-minute croquis (quick drawing) from Oct. 12th, and here is the end result.
I myself like it — and hope you like it too.

I’m taking orders for custom-made paintings as well.

without framing.

Light Gazing

The loops are to hold the cross to a chain. These are “broad” crosses, not ankhs.
I got two orders for the same cross pendant top shown below, and here they are!

As you see, these are made only of seed beads, with no (semi-)precious stone in them.
So, the price is easily affordable JPY1,000- plus shipping per piece*, for an order from inside Japan, in the case of this particular design. (More complicated designs can cost more.)
(In case of an order from outside Japan, please add some other order to this, to make the sum exceed JPY 6,000! The bank takes some JPY4,000- as the commission —)

クロスの上に輪があっても、これは「アンク」ではないですよ！「輪」は、クロスをチェーンにつなぐためのもの。あくまで、「幅広の」クロスです。

ご覧のとおり、このクロスは天然石などが皆無で、シードビーズだけでできています。ですから、同じデザインのクロスのご注文を頂いた場合、
お値段は１つ￥1,000‐ （＋ 宅急便料金）で結構です。（デザインがもっと複雑化した場合には、それに応じて高くなります）

Another 20-min croquis (quick drawing) from Oct. 12th.
This is another drawing I’ve made with a tricolor ball-point pen.
I hope you see that a simple BP pen can create some imaginative effects, such as “looking up at something” or “something coming down from above.”

これも、10月12日のクロッキー会（速写画会）での、20分クロッキーです。
これは、3色ボールペンで描きました。
単純なボールペンでも、ある程度イマジナティブな効果が出せますね。この例のように、「何かを見上げている」、あるいは「何かが高いところから降りてくる」というような。

Looking up — to see what’s coming down

I joined a human model croquis (quick drawing) session again today (12th).
Needless to say, drawing a model holding a pose in 20 minutes makes the result coarse — yet sometimes, that coarseness creates some interesting effects.
I do think this is one example of that.  I really like it, and I hope you do too.

今日もまた、人体クロッキー（速写画）会があって、行ってまいりました。
言うまでもなく、ポーズをとっているモデルさんを20分で描くのですから、結果は荒っぽいものになります。
でも、その荒っぽさが面白い効果を生み出す場合もあります。
このクロッキーは、そんな例だと思っています。私自身は、なぜか気に入っているんです。

Green Cross Semi-Rosary, JPY3,500- if no precious stone

Usually, a 10-minute sketch is not for public display. Yet here, I am showing one to prove a ball-point pen can be useful in drawing, in some occasions.

I went to the university’s chapel to sing in chorus — as a male soprano. I arrived there a bit earlier than I expected. I had 10 minutes, but not any thing longer than that.
In a situation like this, a ball-point pen can be useful, for making a very quick sketch.

多くの場合、10分スケッチなんてものは人前に出すもんじゃ、ありません。ただここでは、ボールペンというものが描画用具として役に立つ場合もあることを示すため、あえて10分スケッチを紹介しておきます。

この大学のチャペルに行ったのは、男性ソプラノとしてコーラスで歌うためです。少し予定より早く到着したので、10分ほどだけ時間があったのですね。
こういうとき、非常にクイックなスケッチをするには、ボールペンは大変役に立つことがあります。

9月27日のクロッキー会のもう1つのクロッキーに、パステルで色を付けました。

Here is another croquis (quick drawing) from the September 27th session — one I made with a multi-color ball-point pen.
A BP pen is effective when you want a drawing with coarse quickness. Do not care about the fine details. What matters here is the sense of “something unusual, something urgent is happening, demolishing the existing order —-”

やはり9月27日のクロッキー（速写画）会から。こちらは、カラーボールペンでザッと描いたもの。
ボールペンは、素早く荒っぽく描いた感じを出すときには、結構使えます。細部は気にしないで、「何か、緊急な事態が発生していて、既存の秩序が崩れていく～～」感じを出すことを目指しました。

Something urgent, something falling apart —

So, another piece from the human model croquis (quick drawing) session today (Sept. 27).
This is certainly not a failure. The manager of the session said he liked it.

I prepared some randomly-painted sheets with hard oil pastel, took them to the session, and drew the model on them.

で、今日（9月27日）の人体クロッキー会からの作品をもう1つ。
これは、失敗ではありませんね。クロッキー会のマネジャーさんも、ほめていました。

予め、オイルパステルでランダムな色の紙を数枚準備しておきました。それをクロッキー会に持って行き、モデルさんを描いたわけです。
